THE DUAL LIFE

About Jon

JON WOLF — NORTH JERSEY

Jon Wolf has spent his whole working life doing two jobs people swear are opposites. One's the stage. One's the studio. He's never bought the conflict.

One's the stage. Jon plays keys, guitar, and sings — and he gigs constantly. A lot of that is The British Invasion Years, the touring Beatles and British Invasion show. He's a member and one of the people who keeps the machine running. The road comes in stretches — some runs go weeks at a time, and the dates aren't always close to home. Wherever the show's booked, he goes.

There's a quieter part of the gig, too. Jon helps lay out the band's multi-voice harmony charts. So if the vocals lock in just right on a chorus… there's a decent chance that arrangement crossed his desk first.

The other job is the studio — and he never planned it. Jon came out of IT, a systems admin in the finance world. Tie every day. That wasn't him at all. Then a plumber friend asked him to build a website. Then his friend asked. That was 2004, and it had a name: Live Web Studios. The short version of two-plus decades since looks like this:

  • Web design, development, hosting, and SEO under one roof since 2004
  • Hundreds of sites built, migrated, and ranked for businesses around the region
  • The newest layer: AI consulting — workflows built around how a business actually runs, with the team trained to run them

The two feed each other more than you'd think. A live rig is a system that can't fail at 9 PM on a Saturday — that's just production engineering with stage lights. And a good website, like a good arrangement, is mostly about knowing what to leave out.

Jon's in North Jersey, on the road a lot. His number's on this site and he answers it himself — that's not a small thing, and he keeps it that way on purpose. Email jonwolf@livewebstudios.com, or just call. He picks up.

People think music is about talent. It's not. It's about showing up — to rehearsal, to the gig, to the moment when everything falls apart at soundcheck and you fix it anyway.
